Such a lovely spot total hidden gem.. it’s honestly so beautiful from the teacups to the little touches like tulips on the table and all the decorations. It feels cosy, calm and just really special. You can tell they’ve put so much thought into the vibe. We were hoping to have the afternoon tea, but just a note for anyone planning – you do need to book it at least a day in advance (we didn’t know). But the food from the regular menu was amazing especially the toasties. And the cakes? So good. Highly recommend if you’re after somewhere pretty, chill and genuinely lovely. We’ll definitely be coming back and next time, with a booking!
What a lovely place! The Drawing Room has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The staff are incredibly friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is great, and they’re very kid-friendly, which makes it perfect for a relaxed family outing. One of my favourite things is their beautiful tea cups—such a charming touch that makes the whole experience feel special. The cakes are absolutely delicious, and the scones are fresh and just perfect with cream and jam. Definitely one of those hidden gems that you’ll want to come back to. Highly recommend! Rating: 5/5
Gorgeous tea rooms with the most yummy food and coffees, just take a look! Thank you so much had an amazing time
I love a traditional tea room, and this one is beautifully decorated. The food and coffee were excellent; they truly did not disappoint. It is everything you would want on a Saturday morning. We had vegetarian English Breakfast and the sausage was not too spicy or smelly, toasted breads were buttered, just the right portion of everything.
We enjoyed a lovely Christmas Afternoon Tea; the table was beautifully decorated with the cutlery and china on theme, plus the atmosphere was buzzing. The staff were very helpful and polite, friendly and always around if you needed them! The food itself was nice enough and there was a fair amount, but I do think it was overpriced for the content - we spent £118 for 2 adults and 3 children. Overall we enjoyed our first visit and will come again, but at those prices it won’t be for the Afternoon Tea.
A charming, busy tearoom with a good variety on the menu. Staff were very friendly and wanted everyone to enjoy themselves. My sandwich was tasty; will try out the coffee next time. Check out the wall with pictures of customers in their youth who still visit today!
⭐ 5 out of 5 stars The Drawing Room is an absolute hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, it wraps you in cozy charm and a sense of timeless English elegance. The hot drinks are delightful — I had the hot chocolate, and it was hands down one of the best I've ever had: rich, smooth, and perfectly comforting. Their selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries is just as impressive — everything looked (and tasted) homemade with care. It’s the kind of place where you can easily lose track of time over a cup of something warm and a sweet treat. What truly sets this place apart, though, is their collection of the cutest English cups, plates, and kettles. Every detail feels thoughtfully curated, and it’s like stepping into a charming little tea dream. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comforting, feel-good café experience with loads of character!
A real hidden gem in Locksbottom! I had a fantastic experience at The Drawing Room — from the warm welcome to the excellent service throughout. The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, with just the right balance of comfort and class. You can tell the staff genuinely care about what they do — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The food (and drinks!) were absolutely spot on, with quality ingredients and thoughtful presentation. A perfect spot whether you're out for a casual catch-up or a special evening. Highly recommended - will definitely be back!
